rotoscope is a digital animation drawn in firealpaca, rotoscoped from a video of myself. it was created for an introduction to frame animation class in spring 2021. the purpose of the assignment was to complete a rotoscope.
the character depicted in this animation is a redesign of ashido mina from the anime my hero academia. i drew her figure over the video of myself, carefully tracing each frame to match the original video.
the original video was put into photoshop to be turned into individual frames to trace over, then each frame was transferred to firealpaca for the actual drawing process. the rest of the frames were drawn in firealpaca, then transferred back into photoshop to be compiled into the final video.
